I was reading a USA Today article this afternoon reporting of Donald Trumps warning to the Supreme court that if kept off ballots for his reelection campaign there would be chaos and bedlam. To me this sounds like the type of language that trump used to promote the violence the took place against the capitol on January 6th. The paranoia continues as these behaviors seem part of an exacerbated case of narcissism, and even the need for corruption and violence if Mr. Trump does not get his way. As the looming threat resides that if his involvement in the January 6th riots on Capitol Hill was seen as an insurrection then this could threaten his chance at a bid for reelection since the probability of being pulled from ballots could take place since there is a clause in an amendment of the Constitution that states anyone accused of instigating an insurrection cannot be or run for President of the United States.

One thing that seems so awkward is why is it that Mr. Trump see’s the stake’s so high to be so competitive for the need to reattain such a powerful position. Recently, he claimed that this is not about retribution I if he could reattain power, but that if he did win that this would be sweet enough revenge. Sound like he is stuck in the victim role rather than being what a normal mentally sound person would prevail of their autobiographical self; This being creative, imaginative, having reason through extended memory motivated for a positive anticipated future that of generativity, as opposed to a negativity from being angered in the moment driven by a state of despair. The function leads to the form therefore the bio structure of neural capacity and functionality pursues, and I can read into and see this best in the portrayal of the individual's autobiographical self. I am dedicated to understanding the human condition through the lens of human development in relation to how the social environment impacts mental health at the micro and macro level.

Self- awareness is so important, for example when things do not go as one may have assumed, planned, or expected is a call to look within, and through the use your imagination a positive person will be creative and will use their motivation, efficacy and autonomy of will, the desire to learn, to be strong and grow from the situation. Generativity from a life of healthy development (internally driven) really is one of the more exciting aspects of life; to be positive, to have hope for the better good of all people as if their success were your own. This is love John Bradshaw emphasized that a person must have experienced being loved, before they can love themselves, which is necessary before they can love others. Maybe this is also the precursor to being independent which is necessary before you can be interdependent to work well with others. I really believe empathy (developed early on) is the precursor to emotional intelligence, which Daniel Goleman states, is the Key to effective leadership no matter how high a person’s IQ is. Steve Covey, another mentor of mine shares that the character ethic is all about being internally driven, which is a key feature of emotional intelligence, and being an effective leader. He goes as far to say in his book, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" that he has yet to see an externally driven person be an effective leader.

Studies in the social and behavioral sciences and through my life experience I can attest that if an individual is not dependent on others, meaning for their ego or public image (I.E., externally driven, false self) then they have grown positively through all of Erik Erikson’s stages of development, and their conscious ability is high in morality, intuition, cognitive ability which can be recognized in the autobiographical self. This is due to an internally motivated state (I.E., locus of control, reinforcement- values, expectancies) due to being loved which leads to an empathic caring individual that is value driven from within. I can prove the art of caring is a science, is the foundation of conditioning for sound mental health, which all promote the biological system away from pathology, so that the human organism is able to function at its highest capacity. Happiness and contentment not upon a conditional means, but instead through peace, delight, and joy is generativity. The mind is in a flow state when functioning optimally. We are not given an instruction manual in earlier stages of life just thrown into a social environment expected to adapt learn and grow. Individual differences are correlated to the environmental conditions and development which there are crucial stages that need to be met for a person to exhibit traits like self- efficacy and autonomy of will. For example, if a healthy emotional state like empathy becomes innate, rather than adapting to a more nuanced emotional state of apathy due to developmental errs left unhinged. Which is concerning since apathy is considered as being on the fence or the gateway to hell. Erikson suggests that every person will experience an identity crisis and will one of two paths. One is that having a higher level of self-consciousness from being internally driven contributes to forming a solid core identity one that is true and authentic because the mind is proactively engaged to make meaning of ones suffering. For example, a life of self-improvement becoming part of your rapidly evolving cognition, intuition and emotion. The contrast and the other path is dissociating from self and any conflict within one's own mind (I.E., repressing) and continuing to do what you've been doing to take the path of living up to other people's expectations in an externally validated motivational state.

When functioning maladaptively an individual projects behavior outward to compensate for their inadequate self. Lacking empathy and meaning of one’s own suffering or the suffering of others leads to a morally dysregulated self that diffuses responsibility. Can never be wrong, therefore the working memory struggles to learn lacking a positive sense that is usually derived as a goal for a brighter future. Instead, deficiencies like distorting reality become more pathological heightened by defense mechanisms like denial, projection, reaction formation, rationalization, authoritarianism. Acted out in displaced aggression and hatred (it is everyone’s else’s fault) the compensatory mechanism of the dysfunctional self may become even more heightened in an emotionally dysregulated and dissociative state. Lacking to seek a deeper meaning (apathy) from any incoming environmental releasing stimuli for a rational means over emotion will only exacerbate negative emotion and affect to the degree of addiction (I.E., addiction to anger which is manifested through rage) and behaving maladaptively that will become more extreme and pathological over time. Good people get targeted and get hurt and it is just not fair. Tribal politics, identity politics, grounded in idealism in a very subjective way away from objective non- biased truth. What is feared political violence becomes real acted out by what Alex De Tocqueville feared most as a threat to collapse democracy is a mass society of mutually antagonistic men- easy prey to despotism. Acted out in a cultural purge, cancel culture and just plain sadistic evil. What we are witnessing around the world is happening right here in Los Angeles County. This is a big deal the underground extremism is not only a threat to freedom but democracy as well. The subtle shifts, the internal conflict taking place in mental health, is the atrocity indicative of the external conflict directed towards others and a failing of a healthy mind. A life well lived is seen in the motivations of the autobiographical self it is developed in daily living always stiving to be stronger something bigger and better through self-awareness, acceptance of others, and learning for self- improvement. To rise above the struggles by tuning in rather than let them get the best of you by letting go and tuning out. This is what is beneath the surface character ethic a solid foundation of the true self indicative of a value driven life that is merit the hard work and discipline which is portrayed on the surface in the paradigm of daily living.

Remember, a higher form of integrity is that of human dignity which is to accept others for their suffering because they are human. Even when it is challenging only is a sign of a struggle that resides from and may need work on from within. It is compassion that regulates sympathetic arousal. Our functional environment in how we adapt and how we become attuned at the deeper level of conscious awareness positively or negatively has everything to do with development of neural structure. The development of these structure's and pathway's cognitive/emotion abilities is corelated to one's thinking and volition, hence perception and interpretations of others. Hope and a better future for our descendants and the longevity of mankind is important and it is our biological development good or bad that gets passed down to the next generation.

If we have the need to have a nemesis to give function to our form (I.E., narcissist abuse cycle) then the person may be getting their fulfilment from outside of them in an apathetic state rather than from within. External validation is not self-reinforcing at the neural level and will leave a person prone to seeking adverse behaviors to compensate for the void and vacuum in which they are living in. Self-awareness and keeping hold of one's own individuality of character in an empathic morally regulated state is self-reinforcing at the neural level it increases dopamine baselines naturally by way of the context and dialogue of daily living this way and the importance of this cannot be understated. Higher self- consciousness at this level is the key to happiness and contentment and being rewarded dopamine is the learning and the molecule that makes you do the right thing when it is the harder thing to do. To stave off burnout is very important it is burnout that leads negative emotions like disgust and if a person becomes addicted to the emotion of disgust then this is repressive apathy. Existential psychologist Rollo May said, the emotional state of apathy is living in a vacuum and that to fill this void a person will act implosively or explosively and that it is just a matter of time till something sets them off. I care for all and really do not enjoy having to keep going over this stuff. So here is the key and the answer to many that struggle with adverse behaviors or that may be functioning in an exacerbated state of despair like Donald Trump. So why did I have to write this when I have so many more fun and exciting things to do?

I keep taking hits from a group of fools, organized and created and kept up by someone that is supposed to be something much better and much greater. Don't read into this last line to act on impulse and chaos, instead I spent a great time and effort to learn and even to take the time to write this rather than bitch and moan of how screwed up everyone is becoming and that our free nation is separating apart at the seams due to a compromised mental health condition. Paul Ryan recently commented that Donald trump does one of two things your either with him or its retribution. It is the people that hold themselves together that are apt to and obliged to lend a helping hand any way they can and for some this can make all the difference. It is the power of acceptance because when you accept others then you can have their blessings, so please do not disparage me as meaningless and stop trying to cancel or silence me from a pathological stance. Why? Because the art of caring is real and there are many people open to positive growth, but just need a push or someone to believe in them. To care is to share, like a hint of wisdom so they too can recognize the world of endless possibilities from looking within therefore discovering this antidote of hope. Maybe this can help with understanding oneself from a behavior science standpoint to gain a more rational humane perspective. Not just in how you treat yourself. but in how you treat and judge others as well.

I casted my hope when someone clever enlightened me to follow this endeavor. In which I am forever grateful

a few blog posts ago I posted a link to fit body fit mind podcast explaining the link between dopamine, serotonin and addiction. please take a look
