Preventing war is important yesterday in a rare rebuke the U.S. ambassador accused China of undermining diplomacy. In todays times it seems the conflicts with autocratic nations that are ruled by dictator’s and tyrants is becoming very threatening to world peace. Well what about right here in our own country?
Yesterday I posted a blog before leaving to work, hurried through it, and when I got home late last night after work I read through it and it is difficult to pick up the impotance due to it being hurriedly written. But so as to not have confusion or to offend those that function in a way that are always offended, I feel it important to clarify a couple of the importances of why the the blog was written by briefly going over one or two points before heading out to work this morning.
no doubt Mr. Luna and I personality wise are the yen and yang. Individuality of character
Some Idea’s from the book, “The Happiness Hypothesis” by Jonathan Haidt.
In chapter six of this book Haidt argues that the truth might lie between the two extremes and contends that love depends on more than self and is crucial to happiness.
I am not sure about the other end of the extreme but for me I am all about love and compassion.
diplomacy - skill in handling affairs without arousing hostility- tact, (Merriam Webster)
For me In my blog after rereading the incompetent reference I felt needed correction or further explanation.
Incompetent- means lacking necessary ability or skills. It can also refer to someone who is not able to do something as it should be done. The term is often used to describe a person who is not capable of performing a task or job effectively.
The concern of my blog post questioned exclusionary practices targeting people and character differences between two different leaders one that may be ethical and one that may be unethical.
I was thinking incoherence not incompetence, but in reality they both mount up to the same thing it seems.
Thinking aligned to personality and character and one's volition may deem a referendum of understanding by looking at the thinking and styles and volition of two late figures in history.
John Stuart Mill against categorical subjective thinking, states.
He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. But, if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are. He has no ground for preferring either opinion.
Karl Marx states, the philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways the point is to change it. He is frustrated and calling for revolutionary change. While John Stuart Mill is more aligned with reality by way of seeking objective truth through deeper meaning of the big picture.
I am all about seeking deeper meaning and remaining rational without biased judgement. I know as people that we are complex beings and the biggest mistake we can make is to limit our own or to reduce the positive growth of others through the lens of black and white thinking.
How does one prevent right wing extremism and political violence from threatening the very freedom and democracy that this nation stands for?
Sapience- wisdom, sapience or sagacity is the ability to contemplate and act productively using knowledge, experience, understanding common sense and insight. Wisdom is associated with attributes such as unbiased judgement, compassion, experiential self-knowledge, self-transcendence, non-attachment, and virtues such as ethics and benevolence. Wisdom has been defined in many ways including several distinct approaches to assess the characteristics attributed to wisdom.
Neurophysiology which is unique since how people think, act, and behave has attributes, correlates and can be better understood through the recent findings of behavioral biology. Let's just say trauma, burnout, becoming addicted to the emotion of disgust is the surest path to evil a path paved by anger hate and repressive apathy.
One point Haidt makes in this book refers from a term- cross level coherence. “whenever a system can be analyzed at multiple levels a special coherence occurs when the levels mesh and mutually interlock” You see this in personality you might have stories about yourself that fit with your lower-level personality traits and if that story matches my true lower-level traits, then there is coherence. But if my story isn’t consistent with my lower-level traits then I am incoherent. This is nested in history and politics- when things match the socio-cultural level down to the individual psychological level, down even to the neurological level you have cross level coherence and you're much less likely to break, much less likely to have a crisis when you realize that you don’t make sense or that you cannot understand yourself.
It seems that Marxist woke thinking is all about having to be right and comes from a limited place through a lens of disgust. So much of these movements are driven by factors like burnout. Often political projects that lean away from understanding the true nature of knowledge by way of seeking a life of truth and meaning fueled by a growth mindset in a positive way like the ideologies of John Stuart Mill go by the wayside into the realm of extremism, hind-sight bias and a life spent post- hoc rationalizing through an angry closed minded negative lens. Which is a bummer because those at this junction are depriving the neurology to become structured in a way that promotes the human organism from reaching its higher optimal state of functioning. When these needs of being aligned from within become incoherent the person lacks higher self- consciousness thus lacking a solid core identity which is everything about who you are and why. It is the context and dialogue of daily living which comes from meaning and when aligned in a healthy way one will seek objective reality through unconditional love while the other will do the contrast through unresolved lens as all the issues get the best of them as they become more disconnected and aggravated as a result. If your gonna find meaning one way or another you might as well take the time and effort that promotes well-being and homeostasis so that higher cognitive capacity and inner peace can be attained from within. I can't state it enough. I myself am in a very stable place emotionally and intellectually and it is rewarding naturally, while I see others so unhappy discontent and angry at everything.
You cannot experience inner peace and a solid core identity while stuck in a big ego, and it is a shame because seeking meaning and truth through a moral lens is what promotes sapience which also promotes neural development which is necessary for the ability to be attuned to thy self and the world around you while learning and integrating multiple fields to have the ability to be in sync and in flux with the deeper reality that of being human. Difference between being optimistic and open minded versus pessimistic and closed minded has big implications whether one progresses or regresses in their lives.
I work hard to stay in equilibrium, and one of the main reasons for going back to school in 2006 was because of being a positive person that was motivated by gratitude to continue my education to find how it all connects and to give back in places that there may be need or deficiencies that need to be fulfilled so that others can find the benefits of that happy place of genuine self and gratitude as well.
the post yesterday needs serious some serious overhauling for clarity
